Going in the post today!

That's it! It's off to the manufacturers! It's been a lot of work, but rewarding, and it's going in the envelope today. The blue album is on its way!

Today has been a busy one in the studio, mixing the upcoming album. It's sounding damn good so far! Still a bit of polishing to do, and a few more bits to record, but it is getting there! A great mix of solid traditional-style bluegrass, fast ones, slow ones, and a couple of curve-balls to upset the apple-cart. All original stuff, we think you'll like it! We certainly hope you will. We do. (Please excuse the messy control-room. Lived in. Focused on the music, not the tidying up)

Orwell Bluegrass Festival. What fun!

Orwell Bluegrass Festival! What can we say? The festival was great all-round. Lots of friends, lots of music, lots of sunshine and bluebells. We played the late slot on Saturday night and it was a blast! One Peter Rowan song (Jailer Jailer), followed but a dozen or so originals, with many new ones to be featured on the album we are currently working on (for release in Ausust, we hope).

Ever wanted to see what a gig looks like from our perspective? Now is your chance. With a GoPro attached to the bass, and the sound off the desk (thanks Josh!), we've got video of a couple of songs from the Orwell set. Look on the VIDEOS page. Lots of fun.

New Video!

Have a look at the video page.... we've got a new tune, Nearly Nothing Left, recorded at the photoshoot the other day with iVistaphotography

Album....

Today was fiddle day on the album. Matt has been laying down his parts and it is all sounding great. Pretty much just the vocals to go now!

Cardboard Fox....

Another fantastic night at the wonderful Beambridge Inn in Wellington supporting the modern bluegrass band Cardboard Fox featuring the amazing Carrivick Sisters, Laura and Charlotte, with John Breese and Joe Tozer.  The wam up was from DJ Lonesome playimg 78rpm shellac discs of hillibilly boogie and western swing before a fantastic set from the Thunderbridge Bluegrass Band debuting their new material ready to record theiir album on CD and vinyl (already in progress and hopefully available in August).  The venue room at the Beambridge Inn, Wellington, Somerset, was packed and the evening was rounded off by a mad mix-up set involving both bands with a lively audience participation!
